Like all marketing ethics, Internet Marketing also needs some special skills in the marketer to manage Email Campaign. But when people Do Email Marketing without any research and planning then, they lose lots of money in managing campaigns.
Some Email Marketing Campaign Mistakes
Emails and Websites are totally different things. If you think your email should look like your website then you’re wrong, your design of Email should be very Simple and clear. And I will suggest you create an email in simple HTML format, which will give you perfect results and response. Because if the design has so much of content then it will distract email readers, and they will not do what you want from them.
Long Content: Do you really read long emails? I think No, I also don’t like long emails, email should be short and informative, they are emails, not blog posts or articles.
Use of spamming words: Try to avoid Spam words, most of the Spam emails have some common words in it, Like Rewards, You Won, Jackpot etc. Always avoids this kind of words from your emails.
Content in Image format: I Receive many emails which are in Image, no text just Image, and when you open some Email Service providers ask to display Image, it means your Campaign will go in the garbage, maybe some people read that also but many people will not open your email.
Not mobile friendly: Still millions of people use the internet from their cell phones and cell phones don’t have that kind of display and resolution like your desktop computer and laptops, always create content mobile friendly, use simple text and never use typical CSS in your Email Campaign’s newsletters.
Lack of Proper Planning
Planning is very crucial for any kind of marketing work, and you can’t imagine any kind of response if you didn’t plan your strategies.
Targeting: If you have a huge mailing list for marketing Email Addresses, then you should target users as per your product and your campaign. If you send email to everyone, most of the people will move your email to the trash. If you send email to those who need information which you are sharing in Emails then your cost will reduce.
Timing: Timing of delivery plays an important role while creating email Campaign, if you spam emails by sending Bulk Emails frequently, then you will be in trouble, always take a proper way and plan your email delivery, It should be something like this,
First Email: Confirmation Email
Second Email: 5-6 Days after confirmation
Third Email: 15 Days after 2nd Email and try to maintain that 15 Days Gap in your emails, more days gap generate more leads.
Call to action means, you encourage your email readers to act on your email like you ask to click on something, or want some feedback from the viewer etc. You should always have a call to action in your email newsletters, but do not use more call to action because a reader will click on the only link.
The subjects are the first thing noticed by users. If you failed to write a catchy and meaning full subject, then many users will not read your email. Email Subjects are the first thing noticed, and if it is interesting and useful then generally people read email first, never use misleading titles in your email.
Testing is the last phase of every development and plan, you should test each and everything of your email before start sending to people, like delivery is fine? Is content working on all kinds of devices? Links are working or not?.
An effective email Campaign needs everything from you, you have to put your whole effort to get better results because email marketing works when you give your best in managing Mass Email Marketing.
