Do you blindly review a product? Do you review a product without checking if it does what it promises or do you just review a product? Many times bloggers just review a product in order to earn money, but do you think that’s right? I don’t think that’s right at all! Promoting something you don’t know, that’s weird and actually harmful to your blog’s reputation and even your reputation!
In order to write a successful review, you must focus on following few factors that are bound to improve your sales, prevent you from any loss and protect your image and reputation in the blogging world.
1. Test Test Test!
Testing a product before reviewing it is very important! Just imagine you promote a software named XYZ promising to make hundreds of dollars every day (there exist no such software) without testing it, and suppose a user bought it from your link after reading your review and imagine if he wasn’t able to make a single dollar using that software, what will you do?
Actually, you have nothing to do and the buyer will in most of the cases do everything, for example, email you about promoting a false product, write about your review and how false it was in his Facebook profile, etc. Thus this is similar to quick reputation damager!
So test everything and then review it!
2. Check The Manufacturer Rep
Never forget to check the person or company who is making the product you are planning to review. This ensures that you don’t promote a useless product or a spammy or scammy company! Search for reviews and user ratings or customer reviews of that company or in case a person is selling that product, check his background, reputation, etc. It’s time-consuming but helps you in choosing the perfect product to review.
3. Search for Alternatives
Search for alternatives to the product you are planning to review. Who knows there exists a better one, paying you more than the product you have planned to review! Who knows, right?
Search all affiliate sites for related products, if you can’t find any, Google is always at your disposal! Make sure that you do this as you could find a better product giving more commissions, generating more sales and helping you maximize your sales, profits and thus earnings!
For example, if you have decided to promote a web hosting service named Bluehost and there exists a better one suppose one from the Studio Press (just an example) costing less than Bluehost and having more features, what will you do? I will naturally promote Studio Press as it has more features and has the ability to generate more sales.
4. Generate a brief Review Idea
Create a brief idea about how your review will be. If the review will be a video review, an audio representation or a brief explanation. Prepare a basic idea of your review, format it in form of headings and sub-headings and then move ahead.
So prepared for reviewing a product? Be honest, earn a lot!
